AN/ART-13A

Radio transmitting set, HF, 0.2-0.5 & 1.5-18 MHz. Emission: CW, MCW, AM. Nominal power: 100 watts. Liaison transmitter. Antenna: fixed or trailing wire. 10 preset freqs available between 2-18 MHz. 1 preset freq between 200-500 KHz. Provision made for manual freq selection without disturbing any preset channel. Freq shift time: 25 seconds using Autotune System. Audio system: provides 90% modulation on MCW or voice; audio input of 16 mv required for 90% modulation when dynamic microphone is used and 1.45 v when carbon microphone is used. Power input: varies from 5.5 watts at 200 KHz to 90 watts at 13.5 MHz. Used with B-58A aircraft. 24-28 vdc. TO: 12R2-2ART13. Major component: T-47A/ART-13A.

AN/ART-40

Radio transmitting set, UHF, 225-399.9 MHz. Operates in the FM mode in 100 KHz increments, and 1750 channels. Also accepts a "Transmitter Control" output that will be used to control its transmission (1 KW). Reception of a proper message by the receiving set will cause the same message to be transmitted by the AN/ART-40. During non-tranmission period the AN/ART-40 will be turned off by the transmitter control. Used with AN/ARR-67 117 vac 380-420 Hz 1 ph; 28 vdc.
